Cumberland Star Riverboat Cruise

Cumberland Star Riverboat Cruise

Experience the beauty of the Cumberland River aboard the Cumberland Star Riverboat Cruise, a relaxing journey through the scenic headwaters of Lake Cumberland. This 65-foot, double-decker riverboat follows the historic waterways once traveled by packet boats before the construction of Wolf Creek Dam, offering a unique perspective on one of Kentucky's most beautiful landscapes.

Your adventure begins at the Mouth of the Laurel Boat Ramp, where the Cumberland and Laurel rivers come together to form the headwaters of Lake Cumberland. Cruise upriver from the comfort of the open-air upper sun deck or the shaded lower deck, taking in towering rock palisades, peaceful riverbanks, and abundant wildlife. Along the way, watch for great blue herons, cormorants, bald eagles, snapping turtles, and even the occasional beaver.

The Cumberland Star will stop to pick up rafters completing the Cumberland Below the Falls rafting trip before everyone enjoys a warm sense of camaraderie and a buffet style lunch served from the riverboat's unique canoe shaped buffet table. After lunch, sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic cruise back to the boat ramp where your vehicle will be waiting.

Shuttle service from local hotels is available for groups for an additional fee.
